Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center Selects Emergent Medical Associates and Benchmark Hospitalists for ER and Hospitalist Services Partnership
Integrated Care Management Solution Will Focus on Improving Care Coordination, Patient Flow, Clinical Quality & Patient Satisfaction
(April 2, 2010, Los Angeles, CA) Emergent Medical Associates (“EMA”), a leading provider of physician staffing and practice management services, is pleased to announce its selection by Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (“HPMC”) as the staffing and management solution for HPMC’s Emergency Department (“ED”). In addition to ED management services, EMA is also providing hospitalist services thru its hospitalist division—Benchmark Hospitalists. HPMC marks EMA’s first integrated hospitalist and ED program.

The contract to provide emergency department physician staffing and management began on April 1, 2010. Dr. Lee Weiss serves as the Chairman of the ED while Dr. Marco Hernandez and Dr. Sharokh Kohanim will serve as the Medical Director and Associate Director, respectively.
As with other Emergency Departments being managed by EMA, Hollywood Presbyterian will benefit from EMA’s integrated set of management techniques that combine performance measurement with clinical excellence and a customer service oriented approach.
