Vic Penan, as the Chief Operating Officer of Emergent Medical Associates, has responsibility for coordinating its reimbursement efforts and analysis, oversight of EMA’s EMReP pre-collection and billing evaluation processes, negotiation and documentation of hospital, payor, independent contractor agreements, coordination of its wound care facility development program, coordination of outside counsel activities, and the delivery of services by e-MSO, EMA’s consulting affiliate.
Mr. Penan has more than 30 years of corporate, entrepreneurial and legal experience, specializing in strategic planning, capital raising strategies, interim management, business plan preparation and development of management reporting systems and controls for medical service and other companies. Mr. Penan has had significant successes launching technology and other start-ups to and improving the operations of companies ranging in size up to $360 million in annual sales.
Mr. Penan attended Boston University Law School and received his J.D. from the Washington College of Law, American University, and his B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker. He has been a guest speaker on entrepreneurialism at Concordia University and on real estate at Crittenden Research, Inc. seminars, is a Board Member of numerous private companies, and has served on the Board of Denver Crime Stoppers, the Harbor View Hills South Homeowners Association, The Movie Foundation, and the Board of Trustees of Temple Bat Yahm, all non-profit organizations.
